Who we Are – New Life Ayahuasca Founders
Matt Mormello and Jeanae White
NEW LIFE AYAHUASCA founders, Matt Mormello and Jeanae White, started their journey with plant medicine by coming to Costa Rica to receive ibogaine treatment for their respective drug dependencies. Both Matt and Jeanae had struggled with opiate addiction for many years with multiple failed attempts to achieve sobriety through traditional rehab methods before finally finding relief following their ibogaine treatments. Amazed and astonished with what ibogaine had done for them, they re-dedicated their lives to a healthier lifestyle and helping others. From there Matt and Jeanae got actively involved in helping other addicts and those seeking a spiritual experience.
After their huge life transformation through iboga(ine), Matt and Jeanae went on to investigate other plant medicines for their continued healing and recovery. This search led them to find Ayahuasca. After their first Ayahuasca ceremony, they felt that same drive to help others discover this sacred teacher as they had after their ibogaine treatments. They couldn’t help but wonder why everyone doesn’t know about the power of these plant medicines. They continued to participate or assist in hundreds of ayahuasca ceremonies and continued to have hugely beneficial and life-changing shifts in their perception and overall view of life.
Through their participation and assistance in ayahuasca ceremonies, Matt and Jeanae have had the pleasure of seeing hundreds of people transformed by the experience. They’ve seen people completely astonished by the revelations and lessons they received from mother ayahuasca and the excitement in sharing those experiences with others. Seeing that transformation and renewed vigor and appreciation for life is what drove Matt and Jeanae to the ultimate decision of opening their own ayahuasca retreat facility, and thus New Life Ayahuasca was born.
It was their own personal experiences with addiction and the healing that followed, thanks to iboga and Ayahuasca, that inspired them to create a program incorporating both plant medicines for maximum healing potential. However, they recognized that benefits of both medicines were not limited to those suffering from drug dependence. So they made it their mission to raise awareness of these sacred teachers and offer programs for ibogaine treatment and Ayahuasca retreats individually, or a joint program for those needing drastic life changes.
Above all, we want to promote awareness, personal healing and self-love.
